INDIE SOFTWARE LAB // Curated by Ravi Ranjan

Small tools, local-first apps, and weekend code experiments.

yupcode.com is my builder’s sandbox. No SaaS paywalls, no telemetry bloat—just fast CLI utilities, browser-native WebAssembly/WebGPU tools, and systems experiments shipped in the open.

The Tinkering Log

Raw micro-updates, benchmark runs, and half-baked prototypes currently on the workbench before they graduate to standalone repos.

Why an indie software lab?

Modern software often feels heavy—wrapped in mandatory cloud accounts, sluggish Electron wrappers, and recurring subscriptions for tools that could be a 4MB static binary or a single local-first browser tab.

I built yupcode.com as a permanent home for my weekend code experiments, developer utilities, and systems deep-dives.

  • 01
Local-First by Default: Your data stays in SQLite, IndexedDB, or your local filesystem.
  • 02
Sub-Millisecond Ergonomics: Keyboard-first UIs, zero layout shift, and measurable latency budgets.
  • 03
Radical Simplicity: Ship small, sharp tools that do one job exceptionally well.
